This year, Maher’s Florist celebrates our 44th year in the floral business. Winnie Maher opened the doors for the first time March 1, 1977 and the vision has always remained the same, even now that her daughter Kim has taken over the reigns. Which is superior customer service and creating unique and distinct designs, all while supporting local growers, by using locally source flowers whenever possible.

Maher's Florist Memorial Day in 2021 falls on May 31st.  Officially named a federal holiday in 1971, Memorial Day was in earlier years referred to as Decoration Day and started after the Civil War. At that time people were holding tributes to the thousands of fallen American Soldiers that died in the Civil War. The tradition was to decorate graves with beautiful flowers and recite prayers.
